About the author:
Ian Till is someone who lives by the motto "How hard can it be?"  This generally means that he's a DIYer, fairly practical and up for a challenge most of the time.  However, time is usually short and so while he does have a stab at most jobs, there's rarely enough time to write about it, so what you see here are either the easiest bits to publish, or the information that's most commonly requested.  Ian also helps the VBOA - an association of Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel clubs that promote the marque and arrange meetings, auto jumbles and other activities for owners of cars dating back to 1903.  His own personal fleet of toy cars includes a Mk2 Astra GTE and a 1947 Vauxhall Ten that was stored in a barn for over forty years.  The Astra is now fitted with a V6 engine from a Vectra GSi, whereas the old Ten will be slowly restored to 'Sunday driver' standard and run as a dry weather toy.
It's not all Vauxhall in the house though - he runs an old Mercedes E Class as a daily drive.
